Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ApogeeLog application ("the App") published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

ApogeeLog is an iOS application for model and high-power rocketry that runs on your device. Features include apogee prediction (deterministic boost-and-coast physics), recovery and parachute sizing, a searchable certified-motor database, a flight and motor logbook, a one-page cert proof-report export (PDF and CSV), and a ground Altitude Tracker. The App's core features work fully offline, with no account.

2. Estimates, Not Measurements (Important)

ApogeeLog produces estimates for planning. It is not a measuring instrument and does not guarantee any result. You understand and agree that:

• Predicted apogee and velocity are deterministic physics estimates and are always shown with an error band (typically ~10–15%). Actual altitude varies with wind, build quality, motor lot, launch angle, weather, and other factors outside the App's control.
• The Ground Altitude Tracker is an orientation-based estimate with its own uncertainty band. It is not an altimeter and is not a substitute for a certified onboard altimeter for official altitude records.
• Recovery and parachute sizing are estimates; real descent rate and drift vary with the chute, spill hole, payload, air density, and deployment behavior.
• The motor database is built on the public NAR/Tripoli/CAR certified lists and ThrustCurve data; its accuracy depends on those sources, and a "motor data as of <date>" label reflects this.
• The App is not a replacement for your club Range Safety Officer (RSO), the NAR/Tripoli/CAR safety code, or sound engineering judgment.

3. Safety & Assumption of Risk

Rocketry is an inherently hazardous activity. You are solely responsible for the safe construction, preparation, launch, and recovery of your rockets. You agree to follow all applicable laws, range rules, your club RSO's directions, and the NAR/Tripoli/CAR safety code. You must not rely on the App's estimates as the sole basis for any flight-safety, motor-selection, or recovery decision. You assume all risk arising from your rocketry activities.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Rely on the App's estimates where a certified measurement or professional judgment is required
• Use the App in a manner that violates applicable laws, range rules, or third-party rights
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the App's bundled data or computational models
• Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or free-tier limitations

5. Subscriptions & Billing

• Free: No charge. Unlimited apogee prediction and recovery sizing with the full bundled motor database, the single-station altitude tracker, and up to 3 saved rockets and 10 logged flights.
• Premium Monthly: $3.99/month. Unlimited flight & motor log and full rocket fleet, ongoing motor-database refresh, the cert proof report (PDF + CSV), two-station altitude tracking, and advanced calculations.
• Premium Annual: $19.99/year (save 58% vs. monthly), with a 7-day free trial. Same Premium feature set as monthly.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• If you cancel during a free trial before it ends, you will not be charged.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers retain their original price for the remainder of the active term.

6. User Content

Your rockets, motors, flight log, and reports are stored locally on your device. You retain all rights to your data. We do not access, collect, or store your content on any server.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and packaged content, is owned by Bulpara Inc and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose. The bundled motor data is derived from public NAR/Tripoli/CAR certified lists and ThrustCurve.org and is attributed accordingly; it is licensed for use within the App only and may not be extracted or redistributed.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ANY ESTIMATE WILL MATCH AN ACTUAL FLIGHT OUTCOME.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BULPARA INC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Decisions made based on a predicted apogee, recovery estimate, or tracker reading
• Loss of, or damage to, rockets, motors, electronics, or other property, including lost recovery hardware
• Personal injury or property damage arising from a launch or recovery
• Subscription-related charges that fall under Apple's billing policy

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bulpara Inc from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or from your rocketry activities.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the business.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
