Privacy Policy

ApogeeLog ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how the App handles information when you use it.
1. Your Rocketry Data
- Everything you create stays on your device. Apogee prediction, recovery sizing, the altitude tracker, the logbook, and proof-report export all run on-device.
- There is no account and no sign-in. The App does not upload, transmit, or store your rockets, motors, flight log, or reports on our servers — we have no such servers.
- Proof reports (PDF and CSV) are generated on your iPhone. If you choose to share one via the iOS share sheet (Mail, Messages, Files, AirDrop, etc.), you control where it goes — we do not see it.
- Your data is removed when you delete the App or the corresponding entry inside it.
2. Data We Store Locally
- Rocket fleet & motor inventory: The rocket and motor specifications you enter. Stored locally via SwiftData.
- Flight log: Predicted and measured apogee, the motor used, date, notes, and an optional GPS landing coordinate you choose to attach.
- Preferences: Units (metric/imperial), default field elevation and temperature, and theme.
- Motor database: The bundled certified-motor snapshot, plus any optional refresh you download (Premium).
- Purchase status: Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally for feature gating.
3. Permissions We Request
- Location (When In Use) — optional: Only when you choose to tag a flight's landing site, or use your field location for a density-altitude refinement. Coordinates are stored locally with that flight and are never transmitted. You can disable this in iOS Settings at any time.
- Device motion sensors: The Ground Altitude Tracker reads your iPhone's orientation (the elevation angle you aim at apogee) to compute an altitude estimate. iOS does not require a permission prompt for this; the readings are used on-device and never leave your phone.
- No camera, microphone, contacts, or photo-library access. The App requests no advertising identifier (IDFA) and performs no cross-app tracking.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages subscriptions and purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- ThrustCurve.org (optional motor-data refresh only): If you (Premium) refresh the motor database, the App sends a motor query (such as a designation, class, or manufacturer) to the public ThrustCurve.org API and receives public motor data in return. No account is used, and no personal data or app-usage data is transmitted. The App is fully usable offline with the bundled snapshot and never requires this refresh.
The App contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All of your data is stored locally on your device via SwiftData.
- We operate no servers that hold your rockets, flights, or reports, and we cannot access them.
- Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
- The App's core features work completely offline.
6. Data Sharing
We do not collect or sell personal data, and we do not share your data with any third party. The only outbound network request the App can make is the optional motor-data refresh to ThrustCurve.org, which carries motor query terms — not personal data.
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Delete individual rockets, motors, or flights from inside the App
- Delete the App to remove all local data, history, and preferences
- Disable the Location permission from iOS Settings at any time
- Manage or cancel your subscription from your Apple ID settings

8. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for educational use. Because the App collects no personal data, children's privacy is protected by design. The App is not directed at collecting data from children under 13 — it collects no personal data from anyone.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
